Interstate Equine Services, Inc. offers in-depth
medical diagnostic workups and all types of surgical procedures ranging
from airway and colic surgery to fracture repair and arthroscopic joint
surgery. Since not all equine health problems occur during business
hours, Interstate Equine Services offers on-farm and in-hospital emergency
services to our clients. In addition to after hour emergency services, the
hospital provides round the clock care for our hospitalized patients by
trained and knowledgeable veterinarians and veterinary technicians.
Interstate Equine Services is also a major center for referral from
primary care veterinarians.
The hospital is equipped with the latest diagnostic
equipment such as digital radiography, C-arm fluoroscopy, Video-endoscopy,
Digital Ultrasonogrphy, ND-YAG laser, Extra-corporal Shockwave Generator,
Stubbs pneumatic dentistry tools, and a variety of physical therapy
devices. We are equipped with an in-house laboratory that is able to
perform blood diagnostics with almost immediate results, which is very
important in equine emergency situations. Our laboratory services
also include bacterial culture and sensitivity, coggin's testing, and a
variety of tests sent to outside laboratories. Our hospital contains
14 inpatient stalls and 4 hospitalization paddocks w/shelter. The
examination area is equipped with 2 sets of stocks, one of which will
accommodate a mare with foal. The surgery suite is outfitted with
two padded induction/recovery stalls, a hydraulic surgery table and gas
anesthesia delivery system with ventilator.
