Dr. Josh Blyden

Dr. Josh Blyden is a native of Oklahoma that received his DVM from Oklahoma State University in 2004. His areas of focus and professional interests are sports medicine and internal medicine and he is expanding the services offered to equine athletes with bone marrow derived stem cell therapy, PRP and IRAP.

After many years of taking care of an extensive client list, Dr. Blyden purchased Interstate Equine in January 2014. His continued goal is to provide clients with the best available treatments and diagnostics to treat the equine athlete.

Dr. Blyden enjoys spending time with his wife and 2 daughters and dabbling with his cattle herd. Other personal interests include fishing and hunting.

Dr. Trent Bliss

Dr. Trent Bliss is an associate veterinarian at Interstate equine LLC.  He received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2006 from Oklahoma State University.  Following graduation, he completed a one year internship at Idaho Equine Hospital in Nampa, Idaho.  He then joined Performance Equine Associates in Whitesboro, Texas for one year prior to beginning a surgical residency at Texas A&M University.  Dr. Bliss joined Interstate Equine in 2011 after completing his surgical residency.  He enjoys spending time with his family and ensuring a good quality of life for his patients and their owners.

Dr. Shalyn Bliss

Dr. Shalyn Bliss received her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2006 from Oklahoma State University.  She worked at Hartman Equine Reproduction Center from 2006-2010 working strictly in equine reproduction.  Her specialties include embryo transfer, stallion management, semen freezing,  and sub-fertile stallion/mare management.  In 2011, Dr. Bliss completed her Equine Theriogendogy Residency at College Station, Texas.

Becky Martin - Office Manager

Becky Martin originates from Indiana, but has lived in Oklahoma for over 20 years.  She has worked with Dr. Blyden for 10 years.  Becky has worked in an equine vet environment for the past 13 years, and specializes in billing, accounting, receivables, payroll and office management.

Alice Holmes - Inventory/Purchasing/Coggins Lab Technician

Alice has been with Interstate Equine Services since early 1997.  She graduated from The Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture, majoring in Animal Science.  Previous to joining the team at IES, Alice was known for her skills in the show ring- owning and showing quarter horses.  Alice is the 2005 Past President of the Oklahoma Quarter Horse Association, is presently a National Director for the American Quarter Horse Association, and treasurer for the Region 8 Experience.  Her passion revolves around breeding and raising quarter Horses, promoting the Quarter Horse, and having fun with her four grandkids...with the fifth one on the way!

Stell McCracken, RVT - Veterinary Technician

Stell was raised on a  cattle ranch in Choctaw, Oklahoma. He attended Murray State College where he graduated with an Associates Degree in Veterinary Technology in August of 2000.  He started working for Dr. David McCarrol at Interstate Equine that same year as a veterinary technician where he also assisted as an anesthesiologist. Stell has stayed on at Interstate Equine through the transition where he continues to be an integral part of our team as a veterinary and surgical technician. He is a loyal OU fan and loves his St Louis Cardinals! He now lives in Washington, Oklahoma.

Dailee Fagnant - Veterinary Technician

  • Dailee Fagnant graduated from Delaware Valley University in 2015 with a degree in Wildlife Conservation and Management with a minor in Large Animal Science. She has ridden horses and shown nationally on multiple circuits for over 16 years. Before joining the staff at Interstate Equine, Dailee worked as a Wildlife Biologist. When she is not working as a vet tech, she does taxidermy and runs a processing plant.
